  • Abstract
Today the EDA industry has approached drastic increase of clock frequency and the exponential increase of circuit complexity and gatecounts. Actual gatecount numbers for some complex designs are approaching multimillion gates. To approach this complex problem a well-tested and reliable design flow with problemoriented and reliable CAD tools is required. Solving some of the EDA industry´s problems (like complex multiclock domains, voltage drop, crosstalk, power dissipation, increasing pincount and packaging problems, DFT complexity...) not only submicron technology solutions are necessary but also exact and reliable software tools.
