Abstract
Several models of pulse-width modulated voltage inverter-fed induction motor drive for the common and differential current modes are analyzed including the influence of the feeding cable described by the lumped or distributed parameters. Theoretical considerations are supplemented by determination of the transfer functions of various models and results of many simulations and experiments. The frequency characteristics of selected parts of the system and their contributions to the resultant harmonic spectra have also been evaluated.
