Abstract
The paper considers the main issues of open source software internationalization and suggests the systematization of the process. Although this research is based on the OpenOffice.org software, still many issues presented here may be valid to the various open source programs. The main attention is paid to the investigation of the OpenOffice.org internationalization model - we seek to find out its advantages and disadvantages. The emphasis is made on the peculiarities and indefiniteness. Besides this, the elaboration of the patterns of solution to the tricky situations here is also made.
