Abstract :
The paper presents design, simulation and implementation of FPGA based current controller for single phase bridge. Current controller is based on hysteresis control principle, which is fast, robust and simple for implementation. Considering such an inverter as discrete-event driven system, a more systematic approach is introduced, which enables the use of hysteresis control in more complex inverters. The paper emphasizes a new matrix based approach to the modeling of the discrete event systems. Modeling of the structure of discrete event-driven system is based on matrix representation of Petri Nets. The discrete dynamics of such a system is described by transferring the system between its specific discrete states. This is denoted using combination of algebraic and logic equations. To confirm the proposed approach, simulation and experimental results are presented. The proposed algorithm was implemented on FPGA, which is considered as an alternative to the DSP based implementation.
