Abstract
In the liberalized power market determination of the "actual" load profiles (LPs) for consumers without real time metering enabling them to keep track of their actual power consumption represents an important and challenging task. Therefore, settlement, considering the deviations between contracted schedules and actual consumption, represents the key issue at the retail electricity market. In the paper, determination of the actual LPs for consumers without real time metering is presented. The proposed methodology considers the advantages of the two known approaches for the "actual" LP determination, namely the area model and the category model. In the process of "actual" LPs determination linear programming was used as an optimization tool. Thus, LP of the individual consumer can be identified. The proposed methodology is based on the predefined typical load profiles (TLPs) representing various types of consumers. The model represents the improvement of the considered models, which was demonstrated on a simple virtual case using actually-measured consumers´ daily LPs.
