  • Abstract
In a problem of generating units maintenance scheduling usually both the objective function and constraints are formulated as the linear functions. The author explains how the division of planning horizon into discrete time intervals allows one to solve this optimization problem with the use of linear integer programming methods. The dimension of the problem depends upon the number of generating units destined for maintenance and the number of elementary time intervals.
