Abstract :
We demonstrate that add/drop filter designs comprising cascaded coupled-microring stages permit reduced drop-loss and relaxed tolerances for high through-port extinction. We report on high-index-contrast filters with 20 nm FSR, 2.5 dB drop loss and 30 dB of extinction
