Abstract
In this work we investigate the performance of two IEEE 802.15.4 network clusters interconnected through a master-slave bridge which is also the coordinator of one of the clusters. Both clusters operate in beacon enabled, slotted CSMA-CA regime. We apply queueing theoretic analysis to investigate the effects of the CSMA-CA MAC as well as those of the limited buffer size at the coordinator/bridge node.
