Abstract
The nonlinear behaviour of direct torque controlled (DTC) induction machine (IM) is studied. The nonlinearity is due to the dependence of the switching instants on the state variables. The aim is to derive analytical relations for the determination of the time evolution of state variables and on that basis to reveal the possible states of the system such as periodic, subharmonic and chaotic states
