Abstract :
Broadside radiated microstrip patch with enhanced gain has been designed with center frequency of 10 GHz. In order to achieve gain enhancement together with broadside linearly polarized radiation novel technique that uses radiation of surface modified rectangular microstrip patch operating with TM21 mode has been used. Designed radiator has been realized and measured. Gain of 11.5 dBi of single fed patch radiator has been reached. Comparison with properties of a simple rectangular patch operating with basic TM01 mode is also presented
