Abstract
The scheduling problem for a set of chemical reactors on parallel production lines is considered. The problem is to determine the most suitable batch sequence and the corresponding time-table of batch operations. The solution algorithm is based on the permutation of the digester sequence and linear optimization of the batch schedule. The simulation results obtained are a good basis for implementing this algorithm in a real process.
