  • Abstract
Innovations in motors and motor drive systems brought an idea for replacing "universal motor" brush machines in residential applications. In order to incorporate practicality and manufacturability, the gain is to construct adjustable speed motor system costing less than US $40 for a 500W unit, with achieving maximum efficiency and operating requirements, maintaining acceptable levels of performance, reliability, and safety. The goal of this paper is to present complete Matlab simulation scheme of energy circuit and control algorithm, for the proposed 500W integrated electrical drive, that were used in order to obtain the parameters needed for the control algorithm implemented. Each part of simulation is explained in details, so proposed Matlab scheme can be used for other simulations of induction motors applications. This paper also presents simulated results for different loads
