  • Abstract
For pt.1 see ibid., p.545-8 (1991). The authors have developed a computer model of propagated excitation in the three-dimensional anisotropic human ventricular myocardium. The present report deals with simulations of excitation waves associated with the preexcitation syndrome. For each of the 14 simulated cases, the calculated electrocardiographic and magnetocardiographic maps at 40 ms into the delta wave are presented. The objective of the initial simulations with the heart-torso model, whose results are presented, was to perform a simple validation that would assure that the basic anatomical structure of the model is correct.
