Abstract :
Examines some proposed configurations of pyroelectric sensor arrays scanned either by a CCD (charge-coupled device) structure or by the matrix approach. The pyroelectric array sensor is based on a single-crystal pyroelectric plate (LiTaO/sub 3/) covered by an array of electrodes created by photolithography. The proposed approach has been experimentally verified by a mathematical model and by a scanning structure element.
