Abstract
The tracking properties of an adaptive notch filter with constrained poles and zeros and with data adaptive notch bandwidth are analyzed. This adaptive filter is applicable for slowly time-varying frequency tracking of multiple narrowband signal components corrupted by additive broadband noise. Some new quantitative criteria for the selection of the algorithm design parameters are established.
