Abstract :
Single-phase and three-phase unity power factor circuits are nowadays becoming one of the most important requirements for all power electronic rectifiers. In this paper, the idea of using a VSS control strategy based only on measurement of the output DC capacitor voltage with current feedforward control is discussed. Synchronisation of a PWM IGBT boost rectifier and a control algorithm were implemented on a 68000 Motorola microcontroller. Experimental results are presented.
