Travel agent business planning consultant: a knowledge-based system prototype

Reports on the progress of a research project designed to explore an answer to the question of whether knowledge-based systems can help in business strategy formulation. The application area focus is new venture planning, for which an object-oriented prototype, the Business Planning Analyst, was developed. The prototype is still evolving. Areas for further research are discussed.
