Abstract
The design of a water cooling system for a car entails major difficulties. On the one hand, more powerful engines are being installed in vehicles which increase the amount of heat having to be dissipated by the radiator. On the other hand, the space available for the radiator and fan is being decreased as the result of more compact car construction. A bond graph modelling is proposed to size the main components of the cooling system.
