  • Abstract
Electric field modeling performance using finite element method mostly depends on finite element mesh generation and the type of equation system solver. In order to estimate electric field modeling performance, electronic optical system modeling algorithm was modified to include the possibility to analyze mesh spacing and equation system solver influence on electric potential distribution modeling results. Analysis was performed in the model zones at which the biggest change of electric potential is observed. Dense finite clement mesh is not needed when the field gradient is small, and the selection of solver is determined by available computational resources. Created technique and algorithms for estimation of mesh spacing influence on the precision of modeling results and for estimation of solver performance can be applied not only to electronic optical system, but also other electronic devices
