Abstract
The concept of extension is defined for the case of dynamic traffic networks. Contractibility of routing controllers are also discussed and it is shown that any controller designed for the expanded network is contractible to a controller for the original network if the expanded network is an extension of the original network. Moreover, a procedure for expanding a traffic network is introduced and it is shown that the expanded network obtained by this procedure is in fact an extension of the original
