Abstract :
The present situation in telecommunication domain is characterized by a main evolution trend-a convergence of the voice and data networks to the new next generation networks. Broadband satellite networks are one of the many networks which will be involved inside these networks where IP protocol appears to be a basic network protocol. However, QoS support is the weakness of IP and MPLS scheme could be the solution for that. Since the satellite links introduce unfavored conditions for data transmissions we decided to simulate behavior of MPLS in communication network with satellite geostationary links
