Abstract
The organisation of research and industry in the planified economy environment, giving the historical background to the actual situation is briefly outlined in first part of this paper. In the second part more important results of microwave research and products of microwave industry in Czechoslovakia Hungary, and Poland are described. Finally problems arising during the process of economy transformation, market perspectives and trends in microwave research and development are discussed.
