Abstract :
The paper presents application of the genetic algorithm and support vector machine for the recognition of the blood cells on the basis of image of the bone marrow aspirate. The automatic recognition system has been developed and the results of its numerical verification are presented and discussed. They show that application of the genetic algorithm is a powerful tool for selection of the diagnostic features and leads to the significant increase of the accuracy of the whole system.
