Abstract :
In recent years, various research projects have been financed in the area of security-oriented research in IT. This paper emphasizes the need for a multidiscipline approach to security research. In particular, it surveys the research areas which are subject of a new research project Security- Oriented Research in Information Technology. This research will be performed at the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT), Brno University of Technology in the period 2007-2013. The use of bio-inspired approaches in this project is also discussed.
