Abstract
Problems of the modeling of manufactured in planar circuit technology proximity couplers´ for the millimetre wave range have been discussed. The specific design objective was to obtain high directivity moderately coupled device operating in the range 40-50 GHz. Different configurations have been discussed and modeled. In the course of the study it has been concluded that many well known from the microwave range design rules of the have to be adopted for specific aspects of the millimetre waves.
