Abstract
This paper presents the development of the T-type LC chip filters models. Initially, two different types of LC filters, produced by multilayer green sheet technology, were characterized in the frequency range from 0 to 3 GHz, then the adopted equivalent LC chip electrical circuit model was fitted to the experimental data using the optimization feature of the schematic interface in Microwave Office (MWO), an integrated RF/Microwave design tool. The fitted values bettered the internal geometric parameters of the LC filter structure, which was finally simulated by a method-of-moments based electromagnetic simulator built-in into MWO. Obtained simulation results were compared with experimental results and validity of the applied approach was verified.
