Abstract :
The study about generation methods of antennas array coefficients should attend two importants objectives. The first is the variation excitation coefficients intensity, where the values of the excitation coefficients should have small variation. The second objective is the analysis of the computational effort to generate these coefficients. The smart antennas adapt themselves to the communication environment, so that the processors should be efficient (fast) in the execution of the method. The proposed method for circular array have already been studied in linear arrays and the obtained results were successful. Both variation of the excitation coefficients and the computational effort are suitable. This paper presents the mathematical formulation of the method and the analysis of the behavior of the directivity and half-power angle. The results are compared with the Dolph-Chebyschev method.
