Abstract
An optimal control problem described by the system of the second order linear ordinary differential equations with infinite time horizon and integral cost functional is considered. Basis of a variational method, sufficient conditions for a stability of considered system are given. In the final part of the paper, an existence result related to the strongly optimal processes is obtained.
