Abstract :
Lloyd G. Trotter was the recipient of the EIC Golden Omega Award. Mr. Trotter is Vice chairman ofGE and president and CEO ofGE Industrial, a $33 billion business with more than 90,000 employees. GE Industrial provides a broad range ofproducts and services throughout the world, including appliances, lighting and industrial products, factory automation systems, plastics, security and sensors technology, and equipment financing, management and operating services. He assumed his current role in August 2006. Mr. Trotter is a founding member of GE´s African American forum and is actively involved in professional and community organizations. He represents GE for America´s Promise, an organization aiming to increase volunteerism in support ofyouth. He has served on the boards ofNEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association), NAM (National Association ofManufacturers), NACME (National Council for Minorities in Engineering) and the GE Foundation. He is regularly recognized for his ongoing commitment to volunteerism and mentoring.
