Abstract :
Blood glucose dynamics is a fundamental and indispensable concept in the management of the diabetes mellitus. The introduction in the medical practice of the blood glucose continuous monitoring systems has made possible the automated analyse of blood glucose dynamics. Along this paper the authors present the results of the combined time-frequency analysis for short-time periods applied to time series of the blood glucose for insulin dependent diabetes patients. We consider that such methods are necessary to extract the structural component, the pattern of blood glucose dynamics for each patient and to predict the trend of the glucose values. These findings may have significant clinical implication in diagnosis of the diabetes mellitus, in blood glucose monitoring and the management of the diabetes therapy
