Abstract :
The simulated scattering characteristics are presented for a section of circular waveguide filled with a rod consisting of a number of alternating ferrite and dielectric discs which are magnetized through a four pole magnetic field. The advantage of this waveguide structure is reduction of size to a fraction of the diameters needed for ferrite filled waveguide section. The simulated performance indicates application of this configuration as phase shifters and polarizers.
