Abstract :
In this paper, the influences of the length of grounding electrodes on the lightning transient characteristic were analyzed. The effect of effective length of grounding electrodes is demonstrated for 2.6/50 μs and 4.5/50 μs time duration of the wavefront. The effect of the soil ionization has been taken into account by dynamic change of the radius of the grounding conductor.
