E-book for evaluating core loss, different technique and materials

This paper presents an interactive interface (E-book) that helps the design engineer to perform the task of choosing between several magnetic materials when he wants to create a specific application from low to high frequencies. The user can set his own input data, select the desired material and have a core-loss graphical representation for single or multiple work frequencies. He can also create his own Excel database and import it in the E-Book. This application can be useful for a further approach of magnetic cores optimizations, considering that many applications today rely on the capacity of a specific choke to work at low frequencies but at high frequencies as well. With the help of already implemented mathematical models, material databases and using the visual effect of graphical representations, the design engineer having the task of making compromises between materials and work frequencies, might consider this E-Book a useful starting point.
