Current mode building blocks for 8 bit pipelined A/D converter

This paper presents a novel prototype pipelined a/d converter relying on an analog current inputs and digital voltage outputs. The a/d converter structure is composed of current mode building blocks and final comparator block which converts the analog signal into its voltage counterpart. All building blocks have been designed in CMOS AMS 0.35 mum technology, then simulated and measured to verify proposed concept.
