Abstract
Given an analog compensator K(s), a new approach to the design of a sampled-data compensator is investigated. The objective is to design a digital transfer function D(z) so that the cone center (1/T) H(s) D(esT)F(s) approximates the analog transfer function K(s). This approach overcomes the ill effects of extra phase lag introduced by the prefilter F(s) and the hold H(s).
