Abstract :
The Russian corporation TVEL is the supplier of nuclear fuel to Dukovany NPP (4 units PWR 440/213 - water cooler, water moderated power reactors with thermal output 1375 MW and electrical output 440 MW each). The Dukovany NPP supplies 14 TWh of electrical energy to the grid every year, purchasing the fuel for the power generation from TVEL. This supplier selection is based on the results of tenders held by the joint-stock company ČEZ a.s. The latest contract is effective till 2018, with part of the Russian fuel made of Czech raw materials - chemical concentrate of uranium.
