Abstract
This paper presents a practical realisation of the function specification inverse algorithm for real time integrated circuit temperature estimation. The algorithm was implemented in a test ASIC as a digital filter, which is capable of estimating heat source temperature values based on measurements taken by remote sensors. The operation of the algorithm is illustrated on simulated data obtained from the ASIC thermal model.
