Abstract :
Signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) based selection diversity is efficient technique to mitigate fading and cochannel interference in wireless communication systems. In this paper, performance of dual SIR based selection diversity system, as the least complicated diversity technique, over correlated Rician fading channels is analyzed in the presence of multiple equal power cochannel interferences. Useful formulae for the probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of input SIRs at the selection combining (SC) receiver are derived. Numerical results are presented to show the effects of various parameters as the fading severity, level of correlation and number of interference to the system´s outage performance.
