Abstract :
The analysis of micro-diversity and macro-diversity reception in shadowed fading channels is done using a compound model. Micro-diversity is applied with three maximal-ratio combiners (MRC). Thus, the analysis of triple-channel macro-diversity realized with the selection combining (SC) receiving technique is enabled. Micro-diversity techniques decreases influence of Nakagami fading, and shadowing will be decrease using macro-diversity techniques. Analytical expressions for the probability density function (pdf) of output power are obtained. The joint pdf of signal envelopes and its derivatives, average level crossing rate, and average fade duration are obtained.
