Abstract
The performance of dual branch switch and stay combining (SSC) diversity receiver operating over correlated Rician fading channels in the presence of correlated Rayleigh distributed cochannel interference (CCI) is analyzed in this paper. A infinity-series representation for both the probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of SSC output signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) are derived. Then they are applied to analyze wireless performance criteria, such as outage probability and average bit error probability (ABEP) for binary noncoherent frequency shift keying (NCFSK). Also, numerical results are presented to show the effects of various parameters as fading severity and level of branch correlation to the system´s performance.
