  • Abstract
An opto-electric performance of bulk-heterojunction based on doped silicon nanocrystal (Si-ncs) micrograins and conjugated polymers are investigated. In order to form bulk-heterojunction a doped (n- and p-type) Si-ncs micrograins with optical gap around ~2 eV are blended with two conjugated polymer e. g. poly[methoxy-ethylexyloxy-phenylenevinilene] (MEH PPV) and (poly(3-hexylthiophene)) (P3HT), respectively. An increase in photocurrent generation is demonstrated when the p-type doped (boron, gallium) Si-ncs micrograins are incorporated in lamella-like P3HT polymer. An excitation energy transfer from both polymers into embedded nanocrystals is shown.
