  • Abstract
This paper proposes an optimized tracking algorithm for increasing the electrical response obtained when using a pseudo-equatorial dual-axis tracking mechanism for individual photovoltaic modules. The paper presents an analysis of the daily and seasonal movements and their influence on the efficiency increase. The main steps of an algorithm are presented, describing the annual optimal orientation program of the tracked PV module, considering the specific implementation location in Brasov, Romania. Based on the proposed tracking system and algorithm, the energetic efficiency is analyzed, comparative with the results corresponding to a fixed and tilted PV module.
