Estimation of activity parameters by means of domestic media consumption analysis

In the article a distributed supervisory system is presented. The system consists of a set of the measurement nodes to track and supervise the most common domestic media consumption. The main goal of the system is to determine activity of the habitants. This has been achieved by means of electrical energy, water and gas consumption tracking. Several factors have been addressed in the study — such as development of the wireless sensor network, design of the basic meters and introductory experiments.
