Abstract
The article focuses on integrating radio frequency identification (RFID) technology into the process of livestock breeding. Our proposition comprises two distinctive constitutional blocks, the first takes case of identifying the livestock with the help of RFID tags and is implemented primarily in hardware, whereas the second one runs in software on a personal computer and consists of MySQL database for data manipulation as well as associated graphical user interface. A complete implementation of the system is described together with rationales for parts selection and schematics. Case study, represented in this article, shown that potential farmers satisfaction and costs savings more than justify integration of our proposition into the process of livestock breeding.
