The WeLearn distributed content management system

This paper presents WeLearn, an innovative system for e-learning and social interaction through common knowledge goals. The WeLearn community driven learning methods are technically supported through a three-tier architecture built over Web Services. Using a common network (the Internet), learning semantics are combined with file sharing to implement a new concept of the learning process. The article also analyzes challenges in the implementation of this novel learning model, in relation to current technologies.
