Abstract
The main objective of the paper is to investigate the performance of European countries in EUREKA “success stories” i.e. those especially successful projects. The Social Network Analysis (SNA) was used for the purpose of the analysis. We have conducted a research on a set of 188 EUREKA “success stories” published on the EUREKA website from January 2002 to September 2009. The research was organized around two hypotheses. We have confirmed that central countries in the social network of partnerships in EUREKA success stories are the developed countries and that the majority of EUREKA success stories are bilateral projects.
