Abstract :
This paper presents how to design an inductive link and a method to find an efficient inductive link for transcutaneous powering and communication for a knee prosthesis. The best place for the coils and the most efficient coil pairs are proposed by utilizing an accurate and easy inductor model. The optimal number of turns and the sizes of the primary and the secondary coils are found and the coils are generated.
