Abstract :
Spatial processing techniques are considered as means to enhance the performance of WLANs systems. Not only the physical layer parameters are the ones to influence the performances of mobile MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) systems, so in this paper we evaluate how are the transmission reliability and achievable throughput influenced by the packet length. Channel state information at the transmitter provides link speed enhancement especially for high transmit diversity system and low values of the signal to noise ratio. The performance criteria considered for evaluation are the throughput and the packet error rate.
