Pseudo-analysis application in complex mechanical systems modelling of container quay cranes

Mathematical description of container quay cranes optimization is of key importance for understanding complex container terminals. This paper presents an innovative concept in modelling operations of container quay cranes based on pseudo-analysis in the form of maxplus semiring. The given model enables performing calculations even for very complex systems (e.g. monitoring of container terminals) and, with the use of programming, obtaining results about the system behaviour in the early stage of project planning.
