Abstract
The method of solution of the Khizhnjak integral equation of electrodynamics in the class L/sub 2/ of harmonic function is proposed for piece-wise uniform dielectric media. Inside the scattering domain the solution is performed as spectral expansion to plane waves. The satisfaction of the boundary conditions for any part of a boundary leads to a 2D integral equation of the first kind for 3D scattering and to a 1D integral equation of the first kind for 2D scattering problems independently of scatterer form. With the aim of illustration the method the diffraction problem for any source radiating in a gyromagnetic cool plasma semispace is solved.
